Acuity is a regional insurance company that is nationally recognized not only for its operational excellence but for its intellectual capital as well.

B2B

For the second year in a row, SilverStone Group has been voted #1 in the Best of B2B contest's Employee Benefit Company Category for 2009. The B2B Quarterly magazine awards are based on the Best of Omaha program, which was originated in 1992 by Magazine. B2B Quarterly magazine contacted readers from 18,000 local organizations, asking them to vote for their favorite “businesses who serve other businesses.” 

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska

SilverStone Group's Group Benefits division was recently honored with the second place Largest Net Growth award from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska. In addition, Group received the second place Group Sales award, which honors companies that exhibit excellence in sales and total premium written with BCBSNE in 2008. SilverStone Group received second place in this category last year and first place in 2007.

Business Insurance

SilverStone Group has been selected as one of 2010's Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance magazine and Best Companies Group.The Best Places to Work in Insurance award identifies and recognizes employer's that are leading the way in enhancing the employee experience in the insurance industry.

SilverStone Group has moved up another 5 spots to number 78 on Business Insurance magazine’s list of “100 Largest Brokers in U.S. Business,” which is ranked by 2009 brokerage revenues generated by U.S.-based clients.

In addition, SilverStone Group is number 7 on the magazine’s list of “Largest U.S. Benefit Specialists.”

Chubb

SilverStone Group's Personal Insurance Division is 1 of 2 agencies in Nebraska/Iowa to receive the Chubb Personal Insurance Cornerstone Elite Agency Designation. This is our fourth consecutive year receiving this award.

Governor's Excellence in Wellness Award

SilverStone Group was honored with a Governor's Excellence in Wellness Award at the Grower's level. The Grower Award recognizes organizations that "grow the seeds of wellness" for employees. SilverStone Group was one of twenty-seven Nebraska employers being honored for their exceptional progress in improving health and increasing healthy behaviors.

Midlands Business Journal

SilverStone Group recently received number 1 ranking on the Midlands Business Journal’s list for “Largest Omaha Independent Insurance Agencies & Brokerages” in their 2009 Book of Lists. The honor is based on total premium written. SilverStone Group has been atop this list for the last five years in which it was published.

Medical Economics

Jeff Sharp, Principal–Qualified Plan Investment, was honored for the second consecutive year as one of Medical Economics' 2008-2009 "150 Best Financial Advisors for Doctors." This rare honor is based on a Financial Advisor's knowledge and experience, fee arrangements, minimum portfolio requirements and being in good standing with the SEC and the NASD.

MetLife

Pam McCawley, Principal–Personal Insurance, was honored with the Best of the Best Profitability Award from MetLife Auto and Home at the company's 2007 Leaders Conference.

Recognized for our ability to write lucrative business, SilverStone Group ranked highest in profitability as a percent to earned premium. The company's combined ratio was an incredible 53.3%, with a 2006 Loss Ratio of 13.5% and a 3-year Loss Ratio of 29%, earning us our seventh conference qualification.

Omaha's Best Places to Work

SilverStone Group is a past winner of Omaha's Best Places to Work award. SilverStone Group has been honored each year that it has participated in this competition. This award, sponsored by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and Baird Holm LLP, recognizes companies that have created positive work environments for their employees.
